S52 vs m62

Hello all, I am debating buying an e30 for a project car. I’m unsure what engine to put in it though. I’m torn between the s52 and m62. I know the s52 would probably be a little bit more conventional but I’m American so the v8 still speaks to me. Ideally I would pair either of these engines up with a zf8hp for whatever it’s worth. Just curious what the most cost effective/ coolest would be.
