When I alt tab with windows HDR turned on, the game will flash black for a few seconds and stutter.

When I have HDR turned on in Windows 11 and alt tab in game, the monitor that the game is on will go dark for a few seconds. This happens when the game is in exclusive fullscreen and in borderless fullscreen.

If I disable HDR on that monitor in the Windows Settings, the issue goes away completely.

Does anyone have any other workaround than manually turning HDR off and on when I play this game?
