22 years old need guidance in investment. Dont wanna be failure like my father
I will become 22 years old this november, born in 2003. I am currently working night shifts at a BPO company. Since my city is classified as Tier 3, my salary is ₹18,000 in hand along with ₹1,300 in EPFO contributions.
This month, I will complete one year in this job, and I am hoping for a salary increase to somewhere between ₹21,000-₹23,000. Recently, on 8th September, I started a SIP of ₹2,000.
As of now, I have around ₹1.4 lakh saved in my bank account. Apart from purchasing a mobile phone, I have been consistently saving.
I've been living with my maternal grandparents with my mother for the past 16-17 years due to my father's drinking and abusive behavior.
I am seeking some guidance because I want to plan properly from an early stage and secure my future.
My long-term goal is to either buy agricultural land or a flat in my area, though both are quite expensive. I'm not sure how much I can realistically save over the next three years as I have to move with my mother to another home.
I started my SIP on Groww on 8th September, and so far it has given me a small but positive return (about ₹27). Any advice or suggestions would be very valuable for me.
Lately, I've also been feeling a strong desire to travel abroad and experience nature. However, I know that if I do this now, it will take away from my savings.
Since I don't have any financial backup person or support system, I am cautious and worried that spending blindly on travel might affect both my savings and job stability
