Wondering about devotions

Hi guys,

I was wondering — do all of you feel a certain calling to Our Lord, Our Lady, reading the Bible, or praying? What I mean is, I often hear or read comments from people saying things like: “I feel this pull to pray,” or “I’m really devoted to the Rosary,” or “I love deep reading of the Bible and time in Adoration.”

But I don’t feel that. Whenever I try to pray, I get distracted, bored, or I simply don’t want to do it. I don’t feel any pull to pick up my Rosary, and a lot of the time I either have to force myself or I just forget.

Is it normal to feel no calling and just feel empty like this? Or does it mean something is wrong with me? I know I probably sound childish, but maybe some of you have a better perspective that could help fill in my empty head.
