Stop wasting your time on people who don’t value you. You might think that you’re obligated to stay with or contact them because you may not have another shot at love, and that’s a horrible, unrealistic lie. There are people out there in the world who will fall in love you for who you are, down to your looks, personality, and things that you haven’t even noticed. Why stay in a relationship that will bar you from finding true love? A love that gives back. A love that doesn’t boast. A love that won’t betray. A love that will fulfill your heart.

If you’ve already gotten to a point where you left them but are thinking of coming back, don’t. It will eat you up inside and destroy you. The more you keep giving, the more they take. And with the more they have, the less appreciation they have for you. I know it’s hard to move on, but just know that your patience and strength will pay off one day, and you will meet somebody who won’t put you through turmoil.
