More on the occipital lobe

NSFW

So apparently, from what my book is telling me, there are multiple areas in the occipital lobe that process vision. e.g. V1, V2,V 3, V4, etc. Other parts of the brain that go beyond V1 are apparently used for color detection, depth perception, and motion detection. The sensory information that is processed in the occipital lobe is then sent to the temporal and parietal lobes which is dependent on early processing done by the occipital lobe.(Jesus this is complicated, tf do I think I’m doing trying to study this) When V1 is damaged it causes blindness in that part of the visual field that projects there.
