Modding Nux Reissue Series pedals

So recently I purchased a Nux ‘63 Diamond that ended up taking my no. 1 OD spot on my pedalboard (replacing my trusty OD-3 that’s served me for years, and also beat out a Carl Martin AC Tone single). I have concerns about long-term use and read a couple reports about build quality, which I’m not surprised by regarding a cheaper import brand like Nux. To that end, I’m thinking of having my local tech replace the footswitch for something much less clicky, and much more importantly swapping out the plastic-shaft pots. (Not that I abuse my gear, but I’d rather future-proof it in any case.)

Has anyone tried doing anything like this on these Nux pedals? If anyone’s curious I can take a gutshot photo later and post it in comments.
