Building for 1440p, is Ryzen 5 7500F + RX 6700 XT enough? (looking for advice)
Hi folks, I’m about to buy the parts for my first PC and want to make sure I’m not bottlenecking myself for 1440p gaming. Budget for the listed parts is C$1,148.
Planned parts list:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F (3.7 GHz, 6-core)
CPU Cooler: ID-COOLING SE-214-XT PLUS (air cooler)
Motherboard: MSI PRO B650M-P (Micro ATX, AM5)
RAM: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith 32 GB (2×16) DDR5-6000 CL30
Storage: Silicon Power UD90 1 TB M.2 NVMe (PCIe 4.0 x4)
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB
Case: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
PSU: MSI MAG A650BN 650 W 80+ Bronze
My (noob) Questions:
-
Will this handle 1440p gaming well (most AAA + some esports) at 60+ fps / high settings?
-
If the GPU is the bottleneck, what similar-price swaps would you recommend? (I can reallocate the same C$1,148.)
-
Anything else I should change (PSU quality, motherboard features, BIOS issues, cooler, etc.)?
-
Any build tips for a complete noob (BIOS updates, thermal paste, cable routing, driver installs)?
Will really Appreciate any advice, thanks!
