2003 Honda Civic believe have intermittent problem with fuel injection or fuel pressure reg or throttle body
Main symptom is that when I cold start car it sometimes has a hard time starting. It will turn over but sounds like its about to die so I have to quickly step on the accelerator to feed it gas. This only occurs intermittently and not every time I start the car.
However other problem i have sometimes is while im driving it will start to sputter like its gonna die and I need to press on accelerator to feed it gas to keep it going. Or it feels like gas is being fed (rpms go up, increasing speed) and im not stepping on accelator. This only occurs very infrequently and I have to pull off of road and then off car then turn it back on again and it will be normal.
Based on these symptoms my unprofessional opinion is that its either a problem with the fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors/fuel rail and/or throttle body (especially in regards to 2nd problem that infrequently occurs while driving). Any other ideas?
