They should put producer credits back in rap song titles

I long for the feeling of downloading a full mixtape off DatPiff with perfect meta data so each song title looks like “Song Name (feat. Rapper) [prod. Producer]”

To be quite honest, in the current state of hip hop, the beat is equally if not more important to the listener than the vocals. As a result, the lead producer should be credited in the song title for being an essential part of the song coming together.

Obviously Spotify and Apple Music have song credits for each track but it’s rare that producers and beatmakers get at-a-glance recognition, other than established names like The Alchemist and Metro Boomin who have as much influence as the vocalists they work with. This would help them get some name recognition and cultivate a following.

Not to mention, it would make it easier for the listener to find similar sounding songs by other artists by exploring producer catalogs. I really view it as an absolute win-win.
