Does Deep of Night Nightlord bosses do increased damage?

Like I swear, it feels like I need to play a No Hit run when im playing squishy characters like Ironeye or Recluse against Nightlords lol.

And the expedition as well.

(Im counting not having the negative damage negation effects, as I dont like running them.)
