Going back to mass after 35 years
Hi! I asked a question about bibles before and got some great answers. Thank you. Have some additional questions. I was raised Catholic and received communion but never confirmed. I'm going to mass tomorrow at my local church and starting to panic if all the same traditions or protocols are still in place. I don't have a dress that fits. I own two and never wear them and when I just tried them on, they don't fit. I have nice slacks. Is that ok? I don't have a headscarf either. When I enter, I know I have to touch the holy water and make the sign of the cross and kneel before entering the pew. Is that still the same? I am also under the impression that since I have not been in years and I have not gone to confession, I should not recieve the Eucharist, correct? Or should I? I have some cash for when the pass the plate, if they still do that. Anything else? Not sure why I'm so nervous. Thank you!
