[F4M] A Second Chance at Happiness (Older Man/Younger Woman)

Many years ago now, you had an idyllic life. Domestic bliss. You got married to the woman of your dreams, had an adorable daughter who grew into a smart and intelligent young woman before your eyes, and a job that finally started paying off for all the hard work you put into it. You lived in a wonderful neighbourhood, where you had plenty of friends and family nearby. Your daughter made a friend at school, and not only did they seem close as could be, but you got along with her parents too, and gained two more great friends who you met up with regularly. For a decade, this was the suburban dream life you enjoyed.

Then of course your business required you to move halfway across the country, upending your family and settling down among strangers. And again. And again. You rarely had enough time to truly start making the houses you lived in into homes. Then, about five years ago, tragedy struck. Your wife fell seriously ill. When the first opportunity came up, you sold your company, took the big pay-out, and stayed home to care for her. The illness took her within months, and left you with only your daughter. You worked through the loss together, became more dedicated as a father than ever and settled down to give her a permanent home.

As she got close to finished high school, you moved to a big city, so you could easily provide her the chance to go to the University she always wanted to attend. When that time finally came, you stuck around. The first year, at least. You were now alone in the house, left without the company of your wife and your daughter, without the job that had kept you occupied for so long, with the means to provide for yourself and hardly any responsibilities. As much as you wanted to stay there for your daughter, it was too empty of a life.

At the start of her second year, you made the decision to move back to your old town. It was time to come home.

You had started dating a little every now and then again. After a few years, it seemed the normal thing to do. Besides, you now had all the resources you worked so hard for when you were younger, which gave you much more freedom to actually enjoy the early stages of your relationships than you could back then. Still, for some reason those dating experiences just never took. Maybe they just weren't the ones for you, or maybe you compared them to your wife too much, still. Whatever it was, you would have to work on it.

When you finally came back to the town where you had spent the happiest years of your life, a chance meeting would put you on a new path. A nostalgic feeling of belonging overwhelmed you as you saw a young woman who looked so much like your wife had looked when she was younger. When you looked back at her, the ghost of your wife faded from your eyes, and you recognised the young woman as the girl who had once been your daughter's best friend. Now having lived her own experiences and becoming an intelligent grown woman, with a beauty that was at once new and exciting, and so strangely familiar.

Who knows, maybe you could become just as happy as you once were here?

So, in this scenario I already gave quite a bit of backstory for the part you would play, and although most of this can be adapted into something else if you'd prefer, I hope it's clear what kind of story I'm aiming for. I would be playing the childhood best friend of your daughter, who's now off to college, leaving you all alone, and needing some new connections. I would prefer for this to be a bit more of a slow burn, and to play into the romance, affection and sentimentality of it all as much as the smut. The conflict that arises from the age gap, and the familiarity with her parents/your daughter is also a fun aspect to play with for us, that would surely give our characters plenty of doubts. I'm in my early 20's, so ideally I'd be looking for a man around the age of 40-50. I don't require novella length responses, but I hugely prefer my partner to be somewhat literate and to put effort into his messages. My standard is around 3-6 paragraphs, and although it can go much more than that, I don't want too much lower. I prefer to eventually work this out over Discord.
