I’m trying to factory reset old iPod but don’t have access to old Apple account

I found my brother’s old iPod recently and want to factory reset it so I can use it but he has his old Apple account on it that we don’t have access to. He can’t get into the account because it’s locked and he made up the security question answers. Is there a way to take off his Apple account? I want to completely wipe the device.
