optic neuritis

to make a long story short and sweet, both my mom and her sister have been diagnosed with MS. yesterday i went to the eye doc for a routine eye appointment (no symptoms or concerns) and the optometrist stated that one of my optic nerves was inflamed and swollen. my general question is has anybody experienced optic neuritis with no symptoms? i’m trying to get into the clinic to get a full neurological work up. surprisingly, i’m not scared of an MS diagnosis, i’m more worried about the swollen optic nerve causing issues before i can get in. so just curious if anybody has any experience in a similar situation
