I think I might be too dumb to understand Dom's hype?
I'm kind of a wrestling tourist, since I barely started watching WWE again a month ago or so after 15 years of not doing so.
I get that Dom's whole thing is being as close to a cheater as the format allows, but... why are people so on board with him? During his recent Worlds Collide match, >!he was supposed to have no assistance, and yet he was gifted more continues than a rich kid at the arcade while Hijo del Vikingo had absolutely no one helping him (if we don't count neutralising Dom's extra bullies).!<.
How is that not seen as Dom not being an ultra loser? I just don't get it, honestly.
100% no shade intended, I just can't help but see it as >!gifting the title to the son of an iconic wrestler!<. Like, don't get me wrong, he is acrobatic and whatnot, but... how's that different from, say, >!a hypothetic scenario in which Cena only won his titles by having Randy Orton and Batista beat the shit out of the opposition until there's just no more fight to be had!<?
Anybody help me understand it?
