WORKING WITH SPN DISTRIBUTORS?
I’m a new seller and recently spoke with a company that claims to be an Amazon Service Provider Network (SPN) partner. Their offer sounds good, but I’m trying to figure out if this is legit or a red flag scam Here’s what they told me: • $1,500 one-time onboarding fee. ONLY ACH PAYMENT • They’ll handle everything (finding products, prep, shipping, brand invoices, compliance docs, etc.). • Ongoing they take 15% of my profits (not sales, but actual profit). Example: If I make $1,000 profit, they’d take $150. • They said I don’t need to give them my Amazon login. Instead, they’ll use Amazon’s user permissions to manage the account. • They’ll provide all invoices, supplier contacts, and documentation trail. • Product payments go directly to the supplier (they say methods vary, ACH, card, etc.).
They also told me they can guarantee a minimum 20% ROI after all Amazon fees & shipping, which honestly sounds almost too good.
My questions for anyone with experience: 1. Is it normal for SPN distributors/consultants to charge a big upfront fee like this? 2. Does Amazon actually allow third parties to run accounts this way? Is user permission safe to give? 3. Has anyone here worked with “Upsell Wholesale” (the company I spoke with)? Are they legit or risky? 4. Any advice on how to verify if they’re trustworthy before I risk $1,500? 5. Would you personally do a deal like this, or avoid it?
I’d love to hear from sellers who have worked with SPN partners or similar programs.
