Another option for getting around SL CGNAT

This is fairly new, came out earlier this year.

Based on the use case we have some options...for me it was Tailscale for most of my personal access to my Homelab and connection to remote machines for my NAS backups. I also used Cloudflared tunnels for exposing HTTP resources which also works great. The main issue was Plex, sure they have the relay server which works great but I am always concerned about the traffic going through their servers. This also would be a great option for a non subscriber or for serving Jellyfin.

Pangolin basically works just like a Cloudflared tunnel but all self hosted. You will need a VPS but the options are very cheap and one being free. I am using the DigitalOcean VPS for 6 bucks a month but ORACLE has a free tier that included 10TB of bandwidth.

There are other VPN and reverse proxy type options out there now...just figured I would share as we see many posts asking about SL and CGNAT, more so now that the business plan took away the public IP. It was very simple to set up after I figured out to turn off DNS proxy in the Cloudflare DNS settings...knowing what I know now it would take 30 mins to get all setup.
