Changes in menstrual cycle?

Can tirz cause changes in your menstrual cycle? My period came a week early this month and that never happens to me. My friend started the tirz at the same time and her period this month is awful. Making her exhausted, lasting longer, and heavier than normal. Just curious if others have experienced changes.
