I really appreciate everyone who's helped find bugs in this as I build the python script. It has been a huge help!

So far, I'm looking at these constraints and structures. This has proven to be much more challenging than I thought it would be!

No pawns on illegal ranks. Seems obvious but the python script had no cares for legality

Three distinct pieces per challenge, no overlaps. This keeps the visualization a bit simpler, as otherwise I would have to code in the answer portion to include coordinates, which would make the audio length longer than preferred. In later iterations, I might amend this to add complexity

Target piece (the one being checked for defense):

Always white.

Never the king.

Other two pieces are also white (expandable to black later).

   Legal placements only:

No overlapping squares.

   Defended vs not defended:

Script calculates actual defense (not random. Again strangely difficult. Who would have guessed).

Short-distance episodes: piece placements restricted to a fixed radius around the target’s square (target at the center of radius). This just makes it a bit easier to visualize. I'll expand to the whole board in later iterations

Below is the structure of each 'episode'. Let me know if you like it, I can and will change if people can get better use from a different structure!

Episode introduction:

"Defended piece challenge." \[PAUSE:3 seconds\]

Then, to ensure the listener knows a new challenge has started, every challenge starts with:

Visualize only these three pieces, and decide if the last one is defended. \[PAUSE:6 seconds\]

Challenge narration flow (target always last):

"There is a white (piece) on (square). \[PAUSE:6 seconds\]

A white (piece) on (square). \[PAUSE:6 seconds\]

And a white (piece) on (square). \[PAUSE:3 seconds\] ( this is target piece)

Is the (target piece) defended? \[PAUSE:8 seconds\]"

Answer line:

If no: "No, it is not defended. \[PAUSE:3 seconds\]"

If yes: "Yes, it is defended by the (piece). \[PAUSE:3 seconds\]"

Multiple defenders use conjunction: “by the (piece) and the (piece)”.

Thanks to anyone who has helped or offers any feedback! It has all been very much appreciated.

Can you visualize this blindfolded -- Thanks for all the feedback
