Help me decide! (Or tell me i need help)

Discussion

I have an opportunity to buy a Rolex Explorer 114270 in mint condition from my birth year. The only thing is that I’m a bit unsure about what to do. I already have a collection that should be satisfying, but I always think I want a new piece that can bring me joy in daily wear. The only concern is that the watch runs +15 s/d, which worries me a little. I plan to do an amplitude test if I get my hands on it. I have a 14-day return policy in case it doesn’t meet expectations. It’s watch only, $6,400, which is a lot on the open market, but considering taxes and the low national market, it seems fairly reasonable—almost like getting it on Chrono24 for $5,000. Is it worth it?

Here’s my current collection:

Rolex Sub 5513 Rolex Datejust 16200 (my birth year) Rolex Datejust 15000 Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1007 Rolex Day-Date 1803 Breitling Navitimer World Tag Heuer Monaco Omega Speedmaster Professional Grand Seiko SBGJ249 Longines Legend Diver Tropical Seiko SNXJ90 (the one worn in American Psycho) Tissot PRS 200 Blue Seiko SNXS79 Cartier Santos TT Jacob & Co Five Time Zone (almost sold) Oris Divers Heritage Orange (almost sold) Hamilton Khaki Field Tudor Black Bay 58 Pepsi Orient Open Heart (beat up)

Can someone tell me I don’t need the watch—or explain why I do?
