Sub Ratio Doesnt Make Sense

I have 2 shorts channels, One of them has a 80% swipe ratio. The other had a 70% swipe ratio. The View Durations are Longer Than The Shorts, The Quality Of The Videos Are The Highest In Both Niches. Despite this however, my sub ratio is horrific on both of them. A 400k viewed short only gets 100 subs, and another 300k only has 50 subs. I know that my niches sub ratio is better than this because my competitor could have a 30k view video that would get him at least 50 subscribers. While I would have a 30k view video that would be lucky to get 5 subscribers. Even though their content is low quality. Why is this? And is there something i can do to change it or am i just stuck like this
