DLC - If I can do it...so can you!

Discussion & Info

Context: I am a 58 year old woman who has only been playing Souls/souls-like games for about six years. I fell in love with Elden Ring and played the base game to completion, only summoned for the final boss because I was sick and tired of losing to the damn thing :)
Enter the DLC. It's been tough, man. Very tough. So tough that I gave it up several months ago after having both Midra and Messmer hand my ass to me repeatedly. I went away for a while, sunk 80+ hours in Lies of P. Learned many lessons on how to parry, and how to prep. Came back today, and beat both those bastards in one go each. My enthusiasm and love for the game is renewed.
My message is this: do not give up. If you need to take a break, that's okay. It's better to walk away than be frustrated. Come back fresh and invigorated, and give then teach those bosses that have been giving you grief a lesson.
I have no doubt the final boss that lies ahead will stomp me into paste and kick my remains to the curb a few times. That's okay. I may need to summon for him. That's okay too. The game gives you the tools, and I see no shame in using them. Feel free to disagree, that's also okay. At my age, I don't care :) This is an awesome game and if having some help is what it takes for me to enjoy it, so be it.
If I can do it...you can do it. Get out there and enjoy.
