Advice for New comics

Almost every new comic seems to rely on the same setups - sex, love, or the typical differences between men and women.

What are some books, videos, or general advice that new comedians should explore to improve their writing and develop fresher material?

I feel like we need to move past the usual “fuck boy comedy” and push for more originality.
