Font size decreases randomly on long runs

It seems like whenever I'm doing a run longer than ~5ish miles, at some point during the run, the font size on the watch face randomly gets smaller. For long runs with a set distance and no pace targets i usually have the watch face set with distance remaining as the main number, current pace in bottom left, and lap time in the bottom right.

Anyone else experience this?
