Is there any indie game for TES fan?

I think that over the last 22 years, 70-80% of my gaming time has been Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. I really like the escapist quality of these games, the big worlds, the deep lore, and I especially like the roughness and uniqueness of the Morrowind. This journal and the lack of markers. This architecture, creatures unlike anything else, and this thick unfriendliness of the locals... But I can't play these games forever, and honestly the fact that Bethesda broke its cycle and started getting distracted by all sorts of nonsense instead of continuing the story of this world, for me it was almost like a betrayal. The history of Aurbis is on pause for too long. It was the only artificial world I cared about, but if the developers don't care anymore... well, I can't invest my feelings and emotions into a one-sided relationship.

I tried other games like witcher 3 but it's not the same. I didn't like the third person view, it's not as immersive, and I didn't like this console-style combat system, with all the jumping and dodging. I know TES's combat system gets some criticism, but I think it's perfect for a slow-paced game like morrowind. Anyway, the combat system is not important, it's more important to me that there are a couple of hundred in-game books and that the game's atmosphere is filled with... well, something like this Kirkbride senseless, pretentious, cosmogonic, metaphysical madness or whatever you'd call it.

I thought maybe there is something like that in the indie space? It is technically possible, isn't it? Nowadays with these technologies and engines, making a big 3D game is not as difficult as before, especially if you sacrifice some graphics, right ?

Thank you.
