What if in the far future there was a shopping website service specifically for ordering out-of print things via time travel?
You’d go on the website and make a request. Something like, “I want (insert thing), it went out of print in (insert year), and is generally impossible to purchase now.”
The staff would run a check on the item and determine how difficult it would be to obtain in the past and how far back they would have to travel, and give you a price estimate for your purchase (it would still be ludicrously expensive because time travel, but it’s better than nothing). If you agree to the price, you’d purchase the item.
The staff would then go back in time to when the object was still in print and easily obtainable, and bring the object to their warehouse in the past, where the item would be held and preserved until present day when you made the purchase, wherein the item would already be in the warehouse waiting and ready to be shipped to your home.
There are some ethical concerns about demand from the future for rare items potentially leading to why that item is rare in the first place but I just thought it was a neat idea lol
