The Removal of The Coral Forest

In one of Silksong’s early trailers, we saw a gorgeous location called the Coral Forest.

Later, we learned that most of this area was scrapped and reworked into the >!Sands of Karak. While part of it still exists in game in the form of the Coral Tower in Act 3,!< it’s no longer the same Pharloom seen in the trailer. The theme of nature’s decay also shows up in >!Lost Verdania in Act 3,!< where a once lush region is now barren.

I love this detail as a commentary on the loss of nature and coral reefs in real life. What was once vibrant years ago no longer exists. Combined with the capitalistic benches and rosary inflation, this is a deliberate piece of Team Cherry’s world building.
