Advice for anyone interested in buying Bali automated blinds, save yourself the money and stress of using their Ezlo hub.

I’ve been struggling with the Ezlo plug for over a year now. It was so difficult to get everything set up (inclusion/exclusion), only to find out that the hub maxes out at 20 devices including the remotes. I swear this process took two days.

Even when it’s set up, the blinds would disconnect at least twice a week, and the only way to fix it would be unplugging the hub.

I also had the blinds linked to Alexa, and sometimes, when it would actually work, there would delays of up to a minute for routines to run, ie, a set of blinds on a routine would run at different times, or one would not run at all.

I delayed replacing the hub because of the cost, but more importantly, the stress of having to set up all of blinds again. I finally bought a used Aeotec Smart Things hub on eBay, and it was a breeze to set up, all done in less than 30 minutes. And now my blinds work beautifully.

The only thing I noticed is that the Smart Thjngs app does not allow you to set the upper and lower limits, so make sure you get a premium remote.
