Just watched the Long Walk

I read the book a few months ago and just watched the movie, what did everyone else think about it? I love as excited for the movie because of how ambiguous the end of the book was, I was unsure of if Ray lived or died. But in the movie Peter wins and kills the major?? What did you guys think about it?
