I just finished season 3 like literally 5 seconds ago and l am so confused and I need awnsers

This is gonna get really unhinged but I am so confused and chat gpt isn’t working so if anyone can help me please read this lol

I first watched season 1 like 2 months ago and I was glued for like the entire thing and it’s funny I look back and I realise just how good it was and it never fumbled

Season 3 I think fumbled or at least I got my hopes too high. I remember watching season 1 and when it started becoming high stakes like with the whole pedo cult I was worried it was gonna get too crazy but it was perfect and great and rust and Marty had an arc and it was satisfying

Season 3 has really scared me. I didn’t watch it cause I heard “the other seasons weren’t as good” but I gave it ago and I got really into it. Like some might disagree but honestly I think the actual mystery or at least the red herrings and the way events and clues are shown are better… until we get the conclusion.

I thought there was gonna be a big twist. After they “solve” it and Roland leaves this FUCKING dread filled music starts playing for like the rest of the episode and I thought it was leading to some big horrible reveal and it was nothing.

They never even found the poor dad died also what happened to the cousin?? Also what did Julie mean by “he’s not my real dad”

Also.. was Rolland (the best character ever) gay lol genuinely cause like in the 80s he said “what about us” he never married but he was in this weird relationship which even before I thought he was gay I thought it was weird cause like they had a break and shit. Also at the church thing he said look at all this fine ass lol or some shit and like looking back was that like a performance. I am not trying to throw anything at this fictional character I couldn’t care less if he was or wasn’t I just thought it was so weird also he kept joking about hayes wife. Idk

I feel like I am missing something. There’s something sinister. I think I am crazier than old man hayes.
