Help better understand

Per non contrast MRI “There is a left posterolateral disc protrusion at C5-6 with some extension posterior to the C5 vertebral body and with cord compression. The neural foramina appear patent.”

Please explain be like I am 5 and advise of future implications. I will try an get the image soon.

I do have the image but it’s in a CD and I don’t have a computer with CD player.
