Help on choosing a job

Ive already read about.job echange how easy it is etc etc, im someone whos gonna play chill but might try sometime a good challenge. On the free trial, i got to play Paladin and Red mage. First one was sadly pretty boring (and it hurts me as a cecil harvey fan), and second was okie-ish for me, not too comolicated and really versatile which i like.

Sadly, i got my hands today into the game and found out these characters are gone, so ill gotta start over.

My brothers gonna play GNB tank when playing with us, and i like tanking but i dont wanna pick another tank role if hes gonna do that, so that gets me into a DPS role. Red mage was okey ish, but i wanna know a short definition or help to get me choose a dps role. Something rather easy, as im not gonna be up to parse and compete (%£$!? Wow).
