Medicaid Question

Medicare/Medicaid

Hi there all,

So I just moved to South Carolina, trying to research Medicaid options online. I had Medicaid in NY. What i like about it ish is that it is affordable. In NY paid $1.00 for levothyroxine.

But I'm getting frustrated- how come every medicaid plan i look, one needs to claim a PCP. Especially if switching how do you know that they will truly work with all your doctors? Like my one doctor in NY, i had to fight to get a referral to a dermatologist, and I've been going all these years to one. That same doctor in NY seemed to not be communicating with my other doctors either it seemed.

Does anyone know if Medicaid has PPO plans where one doesn't have to claim a PCP?

If this is not an option, well I think it should be.
