should i still save up for neuvilette c6? how valuable is it compared to new character powercreep? + whiny baby rant kind of

so im kind of under a dilemma... im the type of player who prioritized pulls for my favorites and anything else is to further their strength. I dont value meta at all. As you can imagine i kind of struggle in imaginarium theatre but i make do hahaha

anyways, ive saved up an egregious amount of time (longest i saved was around 8 months time) to pull c6 furina and c6 nahida with mostly welkins and pretty low spending (and a WHOLE lot of luck... to this day i will forever be in awe to getting 2 double furinas back to back)

now, ive been saving for a long while and making my way up the neuvilette ladder (i have only xilonen from natlan lol). currently im sitting at at c4r1 neuvilette and planned to c6 him....

however..........

seeing as all these new shiny characters coming up, Im worried about pulling, partly because i am sitting on a guarantee and have enough pulls saved to pull either guaranteed c6 neuvi or one or two units.... should i commit to going for neuvilette? or should i pull other newer characters i might like...?

lately as of natlan hoyo has been adding unbeatable endgame that shills the most meta character... should i brace for impact and pull someone like columbina (assuming shes the mavuika of nodkrai), skipping neuvilette c6 dreams for now? i really really hated stygian and had BARELY scraped by... going from abyss which was a breeze to IT which was manageable to this which i cant even begin to clear the last mode with top 1% c6 furina and top 1% c6 nahida makes me a bit sad... especially since they are my most invested characters. of course i have other well invested top 1% dps units like clorinde, navia, etc but it makes me sad that i know i will never excel because its not the unit THEY want you to use... at least thats how it felt plowing through natlan with all the nightsoul BS.... i feel like all content should be clearable with enough investment but maybe thats just the bitterness talking...

anyways TLDR im worried that even if i do end up with the dream of c6 neuvi, the actual correct choice of investment would be to pull other characters.... is this the right way? or am i overcomplicating things??? ive always been a favs first meta second but recent marketing has had me questioning this strategy :[[[[[ it doesnt feel good when your fav with max optimization cant clear content gated by new mechanics or restrictions.
