Queen of Steel • King of Chaos

Poem

Your attempts to swallow me
Into your chaotic void
Are pitifully in vain.

I see the game—
Your grotesque lies, scented sweet,
Your uncanny knack for twisting truth.
You gripped my arm,
But I tore myself free
From the spell
You “lovingly” placed on me.

You forgot—
I decide how
I decide when
To spend my time and energy.

I choose to walk away.

The shock on your face
Is disturbing.
…and delicious.
A testament to your delusions—
and my appetite for more.

I rise in self-love,
I stand in respect,
I rise above you—
Not behind, not for, not yours.

I hope the next ill-fated soul realizes what I now know:

I’m not the Queen of Chaos—
I’m the Queen of Steel.

…And so is she.
