I'm a bit confused by eBays return policy

How I read the returns policy , in particular this bit

If the buyer is asking to return the item because it's damaged, faulty, or didn't match your listing description, then you need to accept the return. If they've opened the return for another reason, for instance if they ordered the wrong item or changed their mind, then you aren't required to accept the return – however, where possible we always suggest providing a great customer experience.

It basically states, if a buyer damages a product, you have to give them a refund. Say, somebody buys a GPU of you, the GPU works when you ship it, and when they receive it. They attempt to fit a waterblock and damages the card...

If you bought form a store, in this case, it would void the warranty. Here, all they'd need to do is reattach the cooler and raise a refund request.

How is anybody using eBay for computer hardware? I was about to put a 4090 on for sale there, but then I read this.
