Increase Zoloft or add Buspar?

I’ve been on Lexapro (citalopram then escitalopram) for about 15-16 years and it stopped being effective, so my provider switched me over to Zoloft, 50mg/day. After about 7-8 weeks, I haven’t really noticed any improvement, so my provider said we could either try increasing Zoloft to 100mg/day or stay at 50mg, but add Buspar.

Checking ChatGPT, it says most will try the 100mg Zoloft increase before layering on Buspar, but does anyone have any experience with this? My provider was leaning towards adding Buspar, but the side effects like dizziness scare me (I really hate dizziness).

Maybe 50mg Zoloft isn’t a high enough dose for me. So, increase the Zoloft from 50mg to 100 first, or stay at 50mg and add Buspar…?
