For those who've done group therapy how was it.
I recently turned 30 and my life has been on a constant downfall since I lost my hair when I was 8 and I've built up a fair amount of bad trauma.
I've always adamantly refuses group therapy due to a strong dislike of others and fear of people with similar issues to myself but I've run through the gauntlet of mental health therapy and with a recent round of bad events I've really hit rock bottom in my life.
I lost the last friends I had and any opportunity to escape this life. I find myself completely isolated and consumed by loneliness but my fear of others is stronger with a lot of what I would like to do hampered by being alone, I live with my mother but she has always been a detriment to my mental health but we need each other to survive.
I apologise for this preamble but group therapy is really all that's left and my fear of it is still as strong as it was years ago so I'm looking for a consensus on how effective it could actually be, at least for someone whose main issues come from trauma both in my appearance and loss
