eBird question: sharing trip reports vs checklists

I went with a friend on a trip a while back. All told we had a dozen total checklists from a number of different stops. He shared the trip report with me, but none of the species (many new to me) showed up on my eBird. Will he have to share each checklist individually? Or is there a way to make the whole Trip Report come over for me? Thank you!
