Bank Robbery in the Marvel Universe

With bank robbery in the real world being a far less profitable and popular crime then in the past, should that be reflected in the Marvel Universe? Would someone like Shocker still rob banks, if ink packs kept ruining the money he stole? Has a super hero foiling some villainous bank robber become an outdated and somewhat lazy plot device? If robbing banks is no longer "easy money" wouldn't super villains not do it and focus on other on other crimes?
