Trading in at the Apple Store.

Guys question.

1. Can I trade in at the Apple Store, have my phone examined and place the pre-order at the store? Or do I have to wait till next week to do this?

I don’t want to mail any phones for trade in purposes because we know how long that process it and it can be a hit or miss.

2. T-Mobile says I can trade phone in ANY CONDITION

• does that mean I can trade in a phone completely broken? Face ID broken? Screen damaged? Etc
• does that exact trade in work if do it with Apple as well?

Again - preferring carrier deals via Apple because the phones are unlocked.
