Hey folks,
I took an arcade cabinet that originally just ran on a single Raspberry Pi and rebuilt it completely by myself into a full-blown SBC cluster inside the shell 😅

What’s inside:
	•	5× Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB RAM)
	•	1× Raspberry Pi 4 (8GB RAM)
	•	1× Rock Pi X (4GB RAM, x86)

All mounted in 3D-printed racks, neatly labeled (yes, Dragonball names – couldn’t resist 😉).

Storage & Infrastructure:
	•	NFS + Ceph for the cluster storage backbone
	•	A Synology with 8TB in RAID 5 hidden in the base → for Jellyfin, ROMs, and backups
	•	Two SSDs dedicated to NFS mounts
	•	One dedicated 4TB SSD just for Nextcloud

Networking:
	•	Everything hooked up to a 24-port TP-Link Gigabit switch, with each port supporting 45W PoE

Current use cases:
	•	Jellyfin for media
	•	RetroPie for direct arcade gaming
	•	Nextcloud as my personal cloud
	•	Centralized backups on the Synology

I did the whole build on my own, and so far it’s been running super stable. Ceph + NFS make the storage setup surprisingly smooth and flexible.

👉 What do you think — overkill for a homelab, or just the right amount of nerdy fun?
Any ideas on what other cool projects I should try running on this setup?

(Pics attached — yes, it looks as crazyj as it sounds 🤓)
