How do I engage with media better?
(Note: forgive me if this question isn’t suitable for the sub, it’s just I’ve noticed there’s some talk about media here)
I (18, autistic) haven’t consumed much media throughout my life and have only recently started watching shows and movies. I’ve noticed that I do 2 things that I don’t believe are good ways of engaging with media. The first is that whenever there’s a scene or episode that bores me, I tend to skip over it even though it’s still important for the plot/story. For some stuff I also tend to spoil it intentionally by searching what happens in each episode before I watch it.
What should I do to engage better with media? Is just watching it the whole way the better choice?
