help (and invite) with testing the site tapes.fans
I ask for help (and invite) with testing the site https://www.tapes.fans/.
This is a database of compact cassettes (and other film media) designed to help collectors.
This is not a replacement for forums (you need to look for the truth somewhere), but an opportunity to collect information available to everyone in a convenient form.
- information about brands, models, production, markets (according to the data that can be found)
- convenient search by keywords, barcode and advanced search by specified parameters (as logically as possible)
You can create your own collection, add cassettes to the database and edit the existing information.
- cassettes added to the user's collection are available in the profile (it is convenient to check when buying at a flea market)
- cassettes in the collection can be specified in different conditions (and search for better ones on sale than you already have)
- you can specify your purchase price (the seller's price does not always reflect the real one)
- you can mark a cassette as desired for the collection
- you can mark a cassette for exchange or sale (there are no sales on the site itself!)
- when someone has the desired cassette, the searcher will receive a letter (it is possible to agree on a purchase-exchange)
The plans include adding various tools, criticism and useful comments can also be implemented.
Personal, results are available only to the user:
- collection cost estimate based on available prices (obviously the estimate is conditional, but probably pleasant)
- uploading your collection in a tabular format (many people like to have data in this form and as a backup)
- generating a collage from images of your collection or the entire database by parameters
General, expanding the information component:
- subjective assessment of the quality of cassettes for use
- subjective assessment of rarity
- the ability to download scans of a J-card for printing
- adding informational articles and advertising images
I will be grateful for any additional information that can help in cataloging (manufacturers, OEM products, etc.)
