i personally like to headcanon doomguy as autistic :)

this is about his game and 1996 comic counterpart. as someone who is actually autistic(audhd, to be specific), i like to think that doomguy in the games is also autistic, or at least somewhere on the spectrum, in the "mostly nonverbal" autistic sense because while he can speak, he just prefers not to. he is mostly unexpressive and is rather fond of guns and figuries(hyperfix). in the comics, he's in the "won't stop yapping" autism range, and he has a very intense hyperfix on guns, even crying and hugging the bfg when he finds it. and compared to his game counterpart, he's way more expressive.
