PC Players, do not mod the game unless you want to risk to not be able to play it AT ALL.

:steam: [ PC - Steam ]

FYI, Do not use any type of mods at all unless you want to have a chance of being perma banned from the game and unable to play it even in offline mode.

For Context, I had initially installed DLSSG to FS3 mod as you might have seen being posted about like
[Multi-Guide] From Laggy 50 fps to Solid 120 fps , I was running this perfectly fine since the 12th until yesterday, after finishing the story, just wanted to get to 50 as quick as possible, found online that best way to do so (at the time) was Vile Bounties, got sick of constant traveling, loading screens save quit etc.. so set myself in Offline Mode in game, used WeMod as it has Teleport to Waypoint cheat, used that to quickly get to Level 45 before finishing up for the day.

This morning I try to launch the game and all that happens is that I get redirected to denuvo web page saying to put in a code from the launcher in to the web page, which should then give me another code to put into the launcher so the game works, none of the codes were being generated and it simply did not work, decided to do Validate Game files, after this on game launch before even seeing any of the splash art I Instantly got my browser opened with the 2K Code of Conduct for Fair Play page and game immediately closing, in it read the following.

"If your game ended or closed, and you have been brought here to the Code of Conduct, that could be considered the initial warning mentioned above. In that case, you will need to close out of any software that could be considered a cheat tool and re-launch the game. "

So I uninstalled the DLSSG to FS3 Mod, revalidated the game files, made sure WeMod was closed (it was not open initially), and the game worked... out of curiosity to see what caused it I installed the DLSSG to FS3 mod ONLY, instantly on game launch I got a different error that Steam is in offline mode and it needs to be online in order for the game to launch (steam was online and working), so I uninstalled the DLSSG Mod, tried again, game worked, installed it again, same Steam Offline Error.... so decided safe bet is to not use any mods at all.

I personally think that this is pure bs, I have not yet played with anyone online, surely if 2K or Denuvo can tell if the game has been modded in any capacity they can also tell if i have played with anyone which I have not yet done, and therefore adjust the ban appropriately, I would fully understand that due to me using WeMod or any other Mods, that I would be banned from playing with others or potentially that when I join someone, or they join me the other player would get some sort of warning about me, however locking me out COMPLETELY from playing the game that I spent 130 quid on is completely unacceptable, I bought the game, I own it therefore I get to decide how my experience should be, if I don't like a particular feature of the game (looking at specifically the Centripetal Mob Modifier) I should be able to Mod that out of the game if I am playing Solo and or Offline.

I get that it's in TOS that Mods are not allowed however just look at BL1 through to BL3, Mods is what kept the game enjoyable and playable even after the Dev's no longer updated the game.

Not everyone is going to agree, and that is fair enough, just figured I'd post about it as potentially any sort of modding could result in you being completely locked out of playing the game that you spent your money on...
