Question about your relationship with your adult kids

Does anyone have less of a relationship with your adult child(ren) than you would like? My 22 year old daughter (only child) has suddenly pulled away from me seemingly for now reason. We have always been close and have gotten along well so I am completely puzzled and kind of heartbroken. As far as I know, nothing happened to cause her sudden decision to treat me like a complete stranger. Maybe it’s a phase and she will come back around eventually. I’m devastated right now, but am giving her her space.

How do you transition from being close with your child to not having much contact? I would appreciate any words of wisdom. thank you.
