PS4 forces me to be a Frost main

Hello everyone, as you can see in the title, I have a little problem that I need some help with. I have always played on the PS4 because loading times and performance were acceptable. So far so good, everything worked fine until the new season came out. Since then, I’ve noticed that the game on the PS4, which has always been a bit slower (but that wasn’t really a problem), suddenly has extremely long loading times ingame. For example, when I join a match, it takes so long to load on the starting screen that I don’t even have time to choose an operator. When all my teammates have already chosen their operators, I’m still stuck on the initial loading screen where you see the map and which team is attacking or defending. That means in many cases I can’t even pick my operator and get to play whatever the game decides. In Casual this might still be somewhat acceptable, but in Ranked it’s absolutely not, and it’s starting to get really annoying.

What I find noticeable is that this only started happening since the new season. Could it be that the new season or the new update basically pushed the console to its limit?

Is there anything i can do at this point or do i have to Upgrade to SSD. I dont want to buy and install one just to find out it did nothing.
