Is LinkedIn nothing but paid services?

I’m starting to think LinkedIn is just a bunch of people looking to prey on the weak. I have had a dozen messages today of these people wanting to help me fix my resume and help me land that job for a stiff price. They might be real or they might be scams, I do not know. How can someone even afford these services without a job? I need a job that’s why I need a better resume since I’m not working. Not working equals no money. If I had a job I would have money and not need a resume. You can fluff my resume all you want and flat out lie but that still will not change anything. There are factors of location, median pay, and sadly age discrimination that play a bigger part of the picture.
